The first 1,000 days — from conception to a child’s 2nd birthday — are the most critical window of human development. During this time, 80% of brain growth occurs, laying the foundation for a child’s ability to learn, thrive, and succeed throughout life. Remarkably, just 16 days after conception, neural tubes begin forming, and by 24 weeks, the fetal brain contains over 10 billion cells. Yet while nutrient needs dramatically increase during pregnancy, most women cannot meet these demands through diet alone. That’s why targeted nutrition and supplementation are essential — not only for a healthy pregnancy but to shape the future of the next generation.

Current Campaign: A Thousand Plus is currently raising funds for Wings of Hope a rescue home for girls between 11-17 in Nairobi, Kenya. We are leading the charge to raise USD $140,000 by August 15 to secure the property that houses their safe-home, without which they would be back in harms way.
